Abstract

Verbaasd dat er zo weinig aandacht was voor Calvijns pastoraat terwijl er zoveel publicaties waren ter gelegenheid van het Calvijnjaar 2009, onderzoekt de auteur de bibliografieën op de publicaties in de twintigste eeuw over Calvijns pastoraat. Door vanuit praktisch-theologisch perspectief deze publicaties te vergelijken met de weergave van Calvijn in recente pastorale handboeken concludeert de auteur dat hier nog belangrijke vragen open staan. Op basis van de vergelijking stelt hij een agenda op voor verder praktisch-theologisch onderzoek naar Calvijns pastoraat.

Translated abstract

Surprised by the fact that so little attention was given to Calvin's pastoral care in the many publications on the occasion of the Calvin Year 2009, the author examines the bibliographies of 20 ^th century publications on this topic. He argues that there is a trend here; taking a practical-theological perspective, he compares these publications with the rendering of Calvin in recent handbooks of pastoral care, concluding that there are still important questions open for investigation. On the basis of the comparison, he designs an agenda for further practical-theological research on this aspect of Calvin's work.
