Políticas, actores y decisiones en las universidades públicas en México: un enfoque institucional

Abstract

Una reflexión sobre las relaciones entre el marco institucional de la educación superior universitaria en México y la formación de las restricciones, creencias y oportunidades que inducen cierto tipo de decisiones en los individuos que participan en los procesos de acceso, de tránsito y egreso de los estudios universitarios en México. La hipótesis principal a discutir es que los cambios institucionales observados en la educación superior mexicana durante los últimos años parecen explicar distintos tipos de decisiones que toman los individuos en la configuración de sus oportunidades académicas y laborales. El análisis de las determinaciones y comportamientos institucionales en la educación universitaria constituye el "núcleo duro" de las siguientes páginas.

Translated abstract

A reflection about relations between the institutional frame of the university Higher Education in Mexico and the restrictions, beliefs and opportunities that induce certain type of decisions in the individuals who take part in the access processes, traffic and expenditure of the university studies in Mexico. The principal hypothesis to discuss is that the institutional changes observed in the Higher Education in México, during the last years, seem to explain different types of decisions that the individuals take in the configuration of their academic and labor opportunities. The analysis of the determinations and institutional behaviors in the university education constitutes the "nucleus" of the following pages.
