Abstract

En México, los mercados de bienes y servicios, así como el de capitales y el laboral sufrieron los embates del proceso revolucionario, sin embargo no los destruyeron. Las oportunidades de hacer negocios en el país abundaron y se diversificaron en buena parte del territorio nacional. Entre las evidencias de aquel fenómeno estuvieron los brókeres comerciales: intermediarios del comercio y los transportes, mediadores que aprovecharon las condiciones del conflicto y la economía de guerra para hacerse de cuantiosos beneficios, tanto para sí como para sus jefes militares. En este artículo, presentamos algunos estudios de caso de brókeres en la frontera norte mexicana y la mención de otros que siguieron un patrón similar a lo largo del país durante la Revolución mexicana.

Translated abstract

The markets of goods and services, the capitals, and the labor in Mexico suffered the battering of the revolutionary process. Nevertheless they did not destroy them. The opportunities to do business in the country, abounded and diversified along the national territory. The commercial brokers were intermediaries of the trade and the transport, mediators who took advantage of the conditions of the conflict and the economy of war. They had large benefits for themselves and their military chiefs. We expose some studies of case of brokers in the north Mexican border and others regions during the Mexican Revolution.
