Our publications curated here showcase our ‘Healthier Lives’ mission aligned to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG3: Good Health and Wellbeing. This research promotes the importance of a healthy mind, as well as a healthy body, and our goal is to help researchers, practitioners, service users and their families and carers share their work to influence real change in people’s health and wellbeing to bring about healthier lives for all.
As a leading social science publisher, we’re passionate about leading change, and publish research that influences thinking, changes policies and practice, and positively makes a difference to lives beyond the walls of academia. We have carefully curated four themed collections of research which align with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (Healthier Lives, Fairer Society, Responsible Management and Quality Education for All).
This collection is linked to our ‘Healthier Lives’ mission, and highlights the value of a world that recognises and protects the most vulnerable and acknowledges the importance of a healthy mind, as well as a healthy body. This mission is most strongly aligned to SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing, but also encompasses the social and economic factors that contribute to good health (including no poverty or hunger, clean air, water and sanitation, shelter, universal healthcare and the reduction of health inequalities). Bringing together the very best research in these areas makes it easier for academics, healthcare practitioners and professionals, policymakers and health service users and their carers to discover new ideas, helping to contribute to real change in society.
Emerald’s mission collections are updated regularly, so there will always be new research to explore.
