Abstract
Lamivudine improves liver histology in patients with chronic hepatitis B (CHB), but
its effects on portal pressure remain unknown. We evaluated the effect of lamivudine
monotherapy on hepatic venous pressure gradient (HVPG) in CHB-related cirrhosis with
significant portal hypertension.
