Reflexiones en torno a la condición estudiantil en los noventa: los aportes de la sociología francesa

Abstract

En este artículo se presenta el debate que existe en torno a la condición estudiantil en Francia. Se ubica el debate en el contexto de masificación de las universidades y se destacan tanto los puntos de tensión como las diferentes respuestas que se han encontrado con respecto a lo que significa ser estudiante hoy en día. Asimismo, se identifican los elementos constitutivos de dicha condición estudiantil y el peso que le confieren las distintas perspectivas de análisis. Se consideran tanto los elementos de tipo personal y sociofamiliar, como aquellos que se encuentran en relación con la práctica estudiantil, tales como la carrera de estudio y la relación con los estudios, entre otros.

In this article, the author shows the debate that can be found right now about being student in France. He situates the debate in the current context of overcrowding in universities, emphasizing not only the elements that produce tensions, but also the different answers that can be found about the meaning of being a student today. He also identifies the constitutive elements of this condition of being student and the importance that different analysis approaches give to it, taking into account not only the personal and social elements and the family ties, but also the aspects which are tightly related to the students' practice, such as the course they study or the relationship with other students.
