      CODE ATI: Sewing activities with various patterns affect the cognitive aspects of kindergarten children?

          Abstract

          Cognitive abilities are needed by children in order to develop their knowledge of what they see, hear, taste, touch, or smell through their five senses. The purpose of this study is to the effect of sewing activities with various drawing patterns on aspects of cognitive development and creativity (CODE ATI) in group B children at Kindergarten Idhata Bucinri District. Pangkep, Kec. Pangkajene. The method used in this study was classroom action research (PTK) which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this study were group B children of TK Idhata Bucinri with a total of 17 children. The results of the study obtained data that in the first cycle the success in the development of children's creativity and cognition in sewing new patterns showed 53.7% of the predetermined target of 75%. In cycle II 79.1% of children were in the very well developed category. The development of children's creativity and cognition through sewing activities has reached 79.1% and exceeds the set target. These changes can be seen from the research cycle I to cycle II, which has increased by 26%.
