Abstract

RESUMO Este texto discute os ganhos políticos e epistemológicos advindos da parceria entre historiadores/as, movimentos sociais, organizações e comunidades na discussão sobre a temática das crises energética e ambiental contemporâneas. A partir de categorias e hipóteses lançadas por esses sujeitos políticos, discutimos as formas como os recursos hídricos foram capturados pelas lógicas e necessidades das economias de mercado e, ainda, as soluções para a crise energética atual baseadas em agrocombustíveis. Por fim, defendemos que os/as historiadores/as, ao retomarem lugar no espaço público, devem estar ao lado daqueles que lutam, há pelo menos cinco décadas, por justiça ambiental, apostando na vida.

ABSTRACT This text discusses the political and epistemological gains arising from the partnership between historians, social movements, organizations, and communities in the discussion of the theme of the contemporary energy and environmental crisis. We discuss some categories and hypotheses put forward by these political subjects related to the ways in which water resources were captured by the market economy and the solutions to the current energy crisis based on agrofuels. Finally, we argue that historiography, when resuming its place in the public space, must be on the side of those who have been fighting, for at least five decades, against ecocide and epistemicide, and betting for life.
