          Abstract

          Translated abstract

The experiment was carried out in the adaptation phase of micropropagated sugar cane (Sacharum officinarum) plants of the Provincial Sugar Cane Experimental Station, Villa Clara, Cuba. Micro-propagated plants, variety C323-68, of three heights, were inoculated with the bio-fertilizer Arbuscular Mycorrhizal (MA) prepared by the Provincial Soil Laboratory of Villa Clara province, with a strain of Glomus sp. The biofertilizer was blended with the substratum in three doses: 47, 94 and 188 kg m-3. The main morphological parameters evaluated were as follows: survival, height, number of leaves, dry and fresh weight of foliage and roots, as well as the presence of pests and diseases. On transplanting, the level of MA colonization in the roots of the micropropagated plants was determined. The results obtained indicate an improvement in the characteristics of the micropropagated plants when they are inoculated with MA in the intermediate phase, and a good colonization of the root is achieved, which guarantees the transfer of the microorganism (MA) to the field. The best results were obtained with the 188 kg biofertilizer with 1 m³ of substrate.
