Methods of Forming Media Competence of Future Primary School Teachers

Abstract

The article substantiates the method of formation of media competence of future primary school teachers, which are realized in the process of introduction of means of media education during professional training. The relevance of the article is determined by the dynamic trends in the introduction of media in the educational process. While the role of the media in educational processes is growing, their application is complex. Therefore, the conditions in which students should be prepared for life in the information society, require the definition and specification of the content of media education of future primary school teachers. Solving the problem of forming the media competence of future primary school teachers based on the deep understanding of modern pedagogical technologies is of great practical importance. The peculiarities of media education as a necessary component for the formation of media competence of future primary school teachers are considered. Finding out the relationship between theoretical and practical components in the method of forming the media competence of future primary school teachers is not accidental. The methodology, based on theoretical principles, sets requirements for management, which teachers should choose from the methodological arsenal for the practical implementation of cognitive activities of primary school children and achieve the educational goal of learning. Regardless of the form of media educational work, techniques used in the organization of media educational classes, media pedagogical activities should be built as a holistic system, and each lesson should have a clear purpose and set of pedagogical tasks.The proposed methodology is focused on modern forms of education with the introduction of both traditional and innovative approaches. It provides a harmonious combination in the structure of classes of different activities, preference was given to problem-based, analytical, and review lectures, which encouraged communication. The classes were dominated by forms and methods of media education, which were characterized by dialogue.

У статті обґрунтовано методику формування медіакомпетентності майбутніх учителів початкової школи, що реалізуються в процесі впровадження засобів медіаосвіти під час професійної підготовки. Актуальність статті визначається динамічними тенденціями впровадження медіа в освітній процес. У той час як роль засобів масової інформації в освітніх процесах зростає, виникає складність їх застосування. Тому умови, в яких повинна здійснюватися підготовка учнів до життя в інформаційному суспільстві, потребують визначення й конкретизації змісту медіаосвітньої підготовки майбутніх учителів початкової школи. Вирішення проблеми формування медіакомпетентності майбутніх учителів початкової школи на основі глибокого розуміння сучасних педагогічних технологій має велике практичне значення. Розглянуто особливості медіаосвіти як необхідної складової для формування медіакомпетентності майбутніх учителів початкової школи. З’ясування взаємозв’язку теоретичних і практичних компонентів у методиці формування медіакомпетентності майбутніх учителів початкової школи зовсім не випадковий. Методика, ґрунтуючись на теоретичних засадах, висуває вимоги до керування, що саме вчителі повинні обрати з методичного арсеналу для практичного здійснення пізнавальної діяльності молодших школярів та досягнення виховної мети навчання. Незалежно від форми медіаосвітньої роботи, прийомів, що використовуються під час організації медіаосвітнього заняття, медіапедагогічна діяльність повинна будуватися як цілісна система, а кожне заняття мати чітку мету й комплекс педагогічних завдань.Запропонована методика орієнтована на сучасні форми навчання із запровадженням як традиційних, так й інноваційних підходів. Нею передбачено гармонійне поєднання в структурі занять різних видів діяльності, перевага надавалася проблемним, аналітичним та оглядовим лекціям, що спонукали до комунікації. На заняттях переважали форми і методи медіаосвіти, що характеризувалися діалогічністю.
