          Abstract

          Over half of all patients admitted with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) suffer gastrointestinal complications. Our goal was to determine the burden of gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB) in hospitalized patients with AIS using the largest, all-payer, inpatient database in the United States.
