Abstract

En este artículo examino la afirmación controversial de que la moralidad existe en el estado de naturaleza de Hobbes (instanciada en la postulación racional/prudencial de las leyes naturales) y cómo ésta resulta ser preámbulo necesario para el paso al estado de civilidad. Para ello retomo el trabajo de G. Kavka al respecto, a la vez que hago un detallado análisis de la respuesta que da Hobbes al argumento del necio, apoyándome en la teoría de juegos. Al final hago una propuesta sobre la necesidad y justificación del paso de un estado al otro, resaltando la precariedad de la moral presente en el estado de naturaleza para garantizar el cumplimiento de las leyes naturales.

Translated abstract

In this paper I explore the controversial claim that morality exists in the Hobbesian state of nature (represented in the rationality and prudence of natural laws), and how this moral is a necessary condition to achieve civil state. In order to accomplish this objective, I examine the work of G. Kavka on this topic and analize Hobbes's "reply to the fool", using game theory. And the end of this paper, At the end of the paper, I make a proposal regarding the necessity and the justification of the transition from one state to the other, emphasizing the weakness of morality in the state of nature to guarantee the fulfillment of natural laws.
