INTERNATO COMO GRUPO OPERATIVO

Abstract

Resumo: Os autores relatam sua experiência de quatro anos de internato (alunos de quinto ano) com a dinâmica de grupos operativos: abandonou-se o sistema hierárquico; deu-se ênfase à cultura médica geral; deixou o ensino de ser centrado no residente e a avaliação foi continuada. Houve por parte do departamento um compromisso (uma garantia) de cumprimento dos objetivos a serem alcançados nas áreas cognitiva, psicomotora e afetiva; incentivou-se a criatividade e o juízo crítico. Concluíram que o internato como grupo operativo é a forma mais humana e eficaz para a aprendizagem da medicina.

Summary: The authors report their four-year of intemship experience (junior students) with the dynamic of operative groups: the hierarchich system was left behind and great emphasis was given to general medical culture; teaching was nor centered around the interns anymore and the evaluation was continued. There was a commitment of the department with the accomplishment of the goals to be achieved in the cognitive, psychomotor and affective areas = a criativeness and critical posture was stimulated. The conclusion was that the intemship is the most human and efficient way to the learning of medicine.
