Abstract
Accurate estimates for the contemporary burden of chronic liver disease (CLD) are
vital for setting clinical, research, and policy priorities. We aimed to review the
incidence, prevalence, and mortality of CLD and its resulting complications, including
cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
