          Abstract

          Translated abstract

Abstract This paper deals with the theory and practice of translation from a comparative perspective (Spanish/Italian), taking into account some phraseological aspects that may arouse interest in the field of contrastive linguistics. Therefore, we will study what translation operations have been carried out when translating into Italian the famous novel by the Spanish writer Carmen Martín Gaite: Caperucita en Manhattan (1990). Specifically, we will focus our interest on the translation of the different types of locutions detected throughout a detailed textual analysis. Next, we will check which translational correspondences have been adopted throughout the translation process providing our translatological taxonomy based on Lozano Zahonero’s postulates (2011).
