Os componentes do amor e a satisfação

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como objetivo investigar as relações entre componentes do amor, a saber: dependência romântica, intimidade comunicativa, excitação física, respeito e compatibilidade romântica e a satisfação. A amostra constitui-se de 146 casais heterossexuais. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: Escala dos Componentes do Amor de Critelli et. al. e, para a satisfação, de Jemmott III et al. Os dados foram submetidos à Regressão Múltipla revelando que, entre componentes do amor, o que melhor se correlaciona com a satisfação, para homens e mulheres, é a intimidade comunicativa, seguido da excitação física. Componentes do amor se correlacionaram positivamente com satisfação das mulheres quando declarados em maior grau pelos homens.

Translated abstract

Relations between love components were investigated: romantic dependence, communicative intimacy, physical excitement, respect and romantic compatibility and satisfaction in heterosexual couple members. It is a sample of 146 couples. Love Components Scale, by Critelli et. al. was used as an instrument. Also, it was used Jemmott III Scale et al. for satisfaction. The results were submitted to Multiple Regression, a stepwise method. It showed that the love component that best co-relates to satisfaction, for both men and women is communicative intimacy, followed by physical excitement. All components correlated positively with women’s satisfaction when they they showed in a larger scale by men.
