The Rivista Italiana di Paleontologia e Stratigrafia was founded in 1895.

It publishes original papers dealing with all fields of paleontology and of stratigraphy, from Italy and the Mediterranean to the Tethys, as well across the globe from China to North America.

Research published in Rivista Italiana di Paleontologia and Stratigrafia has brought about significant advance in understanding, method, theory and application in the field of palaeontology and stratigraphy. In accordance with the Open Access principles, all the articles are publicly available and authors are able to publish their researches free of charge, pursuing high quality standards.
