Processing: powder preparation and characterization; colloidal science; novel forming and sintering technologies; pattering, templates and self-assembly; large scale/ complicated shape processing; hybrid processes, co-firing of metals and ceramics; etc.
Structure characterization: analytical; microscopy; scanning probes; nanoscopic; optical; electrical; magnetic; acoustic; spectroscopic; diffraction; etc.
Properties: mechanical; electrical; ferroelectric; thermal; optical; magnetic; interfacial; transport; thermodynamic; etc.
Advanced materials: ultra high temperature materials; transparent ceramics; lead-free piezoelectrics; ferroelectrics, ferromagnetics and multiferroics; solid oxide fuel cells; advanced ceramic thermal and environmental coatings; nanostructured ceramics; advanced bio- and bio-active ceramics; etc.
Basic sciences: defects; diffusion; phase transformation; phase equilibrium; thermodynamics; kinetics; chemical; thermal stability; etc.
The journal started March 2012 and is now a quarterly journal co-published by Tsinghua University Press and Springer-Verlag. It is devoted to build an international platform for the researchers of advanced ceramics by spreading high quality information and innovative viewpoints around the world.
Journal of Advanced Ceramics is a double blind peer-reviewed open access journal published under the SpringerOpen brand. This journal covers processing, structure and properties of advanced ceramics and ceramic-based composites, and is published on behalf of the State Key Laboratory of New Ceramics and Fine Processing and the Advanced Ceramics Division of the Chinese Ceramic Society.
The publication costs are covered by State Key Laboratory of New Ceramics and Fine Processingso authors do not need to pay an article-processing charge.
The journal operates a double-blind peer-review system, where the reviewers do not know the names or affiliations of the authors and the reviewer reports provided to the authors are anonymous.
